About Pauline & John's Family Tree

For John, Diana, Katy, Nick, Zoe, Molly, and Sandra, and in memory of my Dad, Bob Bennett (1913-1988), and brothers, Graham (1955-1959) and Douglas (1958-1992).Also my Mum Lorraine Bennett (nee Keast) (1930-2008).

This quest for information started just after the birth of our first grandaughter Zoe on March 5th 2002. I wanted to be able to show her and the rest of the family where our roots were. Little did I realise how consuming this quest would become! In the search for information I have made contact with people all over the world.

I must make mention of a few people who have helped me along the way. Kris Flamank is Australia - we have had many MSN chats swapping info on the Flamank line. My paternal grandmother was Florence Beatrice Flamank (1889-1945); Janice Trenouth for her wonderful information on the Canadian Trenouths who can trace their ancestry back to Cornwall; Bryan Connell for his masses of info on the Tew line from Warwickshire, and the Connell line from Ayrshire in Scotland, and it's spread to Belfast and Liverpool. More recently, contact with Charles Fuller has been an amazing help in exploring the Chenery/Chinnery families from the Stowmarket area of Suffolk. Thanks to them and the many others who I have had contact with. Your help is invaluable.

I have started to add photos of the churches where our ancestors were christened, married and buried. If you have ancestors connected to these churches, I would love to hear from you.

As well as my own quest for information on our ancestors, and the lives they led, I also now try to help others in their search as well. I have become the OPC for the Cornish parishes of Lanlivery, Lanivet, Newquay and St Columb Minor parishes which feature in my own ancestry.

If you have found this site informative, or have made a link with any of the ancestors here, please feel free to sign the guest book.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
